Surgical Senior Scientist - Neuroscience

Our Neuroscience department is developing new therapies for neurodegenerative disorders, and we would like you to join our team! In this role, you will establish and optimize translational biochemical and molecular pharmacodynamic readouts for preclinical studies to support our drug discovery programs. A major focus for you will be the establishment and utilization of preclinical in vivo surgical models.

Your responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing stereotaxic surgical mouse and rat models
• Designing, coordinating, and executing target engagement and efficacy studies to evaluate novel therapies
• In vivo model work including dosing and tissue collection
• Quantitative analysis of protein and RNA from tissue, plasma, and CSF samples
• Data analysis utilizing multiple platforms and sharing results with key stakeholders
• Literature exploration, thinking creatively, and implementing innovative technologies
