Job Description
This role will function as a key collaborator with the health plan CFO and other departments in the local market in order to achieve plan financial results. The employee will ensure that all financial reporting, both internal and external, are accurately reported. It is also a major contributor to the profit improvement identification and process (SAI). Collaborates with functional support areas including actuarial, provider network/contracting, medical economics, and informatics for analysis purposes on financial and strategic business opportunities being proposed.

1. Manage profit improvement process (SAI) for the health plan through identification and collaboration with other functional areas.
2. Provide data and financial reporting support necessary for completion of quarterly and annual statutory filings as well as annual audits.
3. Manage the high dollar claims log along with required monthly reporting to the central finance team. Coordinate meetings and data review with the clinical management teams to support process.
4. Collaborate with the actuarial and medical economics areas to evaluate medical cost trends.
5. Represent the finance team in plan meetings requiring finance participation.

Required Qualifications
-3+ years experience in accounting/financial planning and/or analysis

-3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite applications

Bachelor's Degree required
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline preferred
