ABOUT THIS POSITION
Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Manager Market Insights. The primary responsibilities of this position are to lead established business and innovation market research in the collection, analysis, synthesis, and storytelling presentations of insights to guide decisions for our Global product portfolio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Be a subject matter expert on customer and consumer insights to define business growth opportunities and marketing strategies.
Be proficient in creating and executing qualitative and quantitative primary market research among relevant stakeholders such as laboratory personnel and management, patients, consumers, clinicians, and public and private payors.
Lead in discovering actionable insights and presenting those findings to leadership
Collaborates with cross-functional business unit teams to define business problems and create the voice of customer research learning plans.
Create and implement best practices for conducting primary marketing research and disseminating learning.
Ensure the most appropriate methodologies are used to ensure that Business Unit stakeholders have the most comprehensive understanding of Global customer and consumer needs and market trends.
Translate data and information into compelling insight stories that drive business decisions and growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree: Market Research, Business, MBA, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.
6+ years working in a matrix environment with experience in customer insights, market research, or competitive intelligence.
Expertise in qualitative and quantitative market research for new product development, pricing, segmentation, and advertising development and measurement.
Creative business problem solving by analyzing situations and applying critical thinking to resolve.
Strong storytelling and communication skills and the ability to influence senior levels of the organization and cross-functional teams.
Understand business and market levers and drive insights into actions.
Master’s Degree: Market Research, Business, MBA, Psychology, Sociology, Economics.
Global customer insights experience in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
Retail, Consumer Package Goods, and Healthcare industry experience
