The Manager is responsible for supervision of Document Control Operations (DCO) activities in accordance with BMS policies, standards, procedures and Global cGMPs. Functional responsibilities for the incumbent include supervision of DCO activities for Cell Therapy Operations (CTO); Oversee a QA DCO team that will ensure Document Records Management aligns with Global and Regional Regulatory requirements. Work proactively to identify and address any DCO compliance issues. Manage and motivate team members, build trust and cultivate a collaborative environment. Oversee team responsibilities and maintain a state of compliance. Scope also includes:

  • Planning: Evaluate methods and strategies to determine how team will progress toward set goals
  • Organization: Define an organizational structure that aligns with the Documentation Control workplace and assign tasks that map to team members skills and abilities.
  • Staffing: Hire new talent for specific tasks that require specific technical expertise and assess the needs of team members (with regards to incentives, training and development and compensation), while evaluating the competency and efficiency of team members to ensure that their assigned tasks match their skills.
  • Directing: Supervise team members progress, by keeping an open channel of communication and receiving regular updates by giving and receiving feedback to address any problem areas and improve performance. Directing includes acting as a leader, navigating conflict and motivating team members to take initiative.

Reporting/Budgeting: Measure the progress of team against BMS organizational goals. Coordinate with team members to ensure that goals are being met; address/resolve problems to take corrective measures; make timely adjustments and modifications where necessary within project/task timeframes and within budget.
