As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable leads a large team in Orlando, FL and supports multiple business units. This role will support the implementation of the Order to Cash Roadmap to deliver targeted business benefits and ease of process use for the end user and external customers.

The Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable will serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders of the business units receivables key account processes. The successful candidate has strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills and the ability to interact with various levels of finance personnel, including senior leadership. This individual is accountable for ensuring the delivery of service commitments throughout ARDx.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership & oversight of accounts receivable processes including; collections, cash applications, billing, cash management, and reporting.
  • Present, articulate, and analyze cash and ageing reports for senior management
  • Develop, monitor, and present key performance indicators that will assist with forecasting of bad debt exposure, DSO, and the balance sheet to attain financial objectives
  • Manage the credit approval process & risk management
  • Collaborate with GBS and HQ leadership to ensure alignment of priorities, management, and influence of results through working in a matrixed environment
  • Provide process expertise for business integrations including new business models
  • Identify, drive, and monitor continuous improvement related to the OTC process area
  • Collaborate with customer service leadership on key OTC initiatives and process efficiencies
  • Ensure adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes
  • Define and agree on KPIs and performance measures associated with the end to end process
  • Lead benchmarking activities and continuous assessment of process performance measures, driving measurable improvements in the process over time
  • Responsible for the implementation of new controls and processes as needed
  • Act as a liaison with Abbott Division and sister Abbott hubs
  • Assists with review and analysis of the financial statements and trends specific to AR
  • Partner with GBS finance leaders and sister Abbott hubs to drive projects, improvements, and enhancements across the finance function
  • Fosters a team collaboration of staff development, mentoring, performance management, engagement, and hiring.
  • Transfer knowledge to team members for their growth and advancement

Education & Experience

  • BS in Accounting / Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of Accounting/Finance experience required
  • 10+ years in Accounting/Finance leadership position required
  • Extensive experience with SAP preferred
  • Business Analytics tool experience preferred (PowerBI/Qlikview)
  • Advanced experience in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access, Word, Powerpoint
