Our location in Fairfield, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift. Work hours are 2pm-10:30pm - Monday-Friday.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Forklift Operator performs a variety of shipping, receiving, inventory control and / or warehouse duties to support manufacturing of healthy living bars. Equipment frequently used includes: forklifts, motorized pallet trucks, and computerized warehouse systems using bar code scanners and radio frequency transmitters. The ever-changing commitment to our customers requires flexibility and adaptability with the ability to multi-task. Procedure compliance is critical at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work order picking and staging
Review Schedule/Requisition sheets
Pick Items and place on pallets per batch
Scan Container ID’s into MITS
2. Full pallet picking and staging
Pick Full pallets and break down with RF units
Create new container ID’s
Enter ID’s into MIT in the “ADD MATERIAL” menu
3. Truck loading
Review Pick sheet
Fill out truck inspection form
Check/Verify pallet, remove “pink” tag, put pallet on the truck
Return all paperwork to shipping clerk so electronic BOL can be produced
4. Line support
Provide Line driving support when needed
5. Documentation processing
Make sure all paperwork is filled out properly
Make sure all paperwork is filed properly
6. Housekeeping compliance
Good GMP practices
Completion of daily check points review
Assist in weekly area checklist walk-thrus
7. Product put away
Put Items in the proper location.
Scan into the locations using RF units, view status menu
Run MITS location status
8. Truck unloading and stock replenishment
MITS RF unit training
Reports Support receiving department
9. Perform other work related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING:>
Education: High school graduate, or equivalent.
Experience: Food-grade warehousing experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
Skills: Forklift operation. Shrink-wrap operations. Able to learn computer-based warehouse systems plus basic math skills.
Behaviors: Team oriented, good communicator, high work standards, good attention to detail, high tolerance for stress, adaptable, flexible, and able to multi-task.
Physical Demands: Physically able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
