In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and assist the IACUC Chair and department head with other aspects of animal facility regulatory compliance activities.

We are offering a sign-on bonus of $5,000 ($2,500 upon hire and another $2,500 after 6 months; external candidates only)

• Assists the IACUC Chair by writing and keeping meeting minutes, reviewing and maintaining log sheets, collecting information for annual regulatory reports, and maintaining current IACUC policies and documents on the company intranet

• Provides initial review of all proposed animal use activities and monitors those submissions for accuracy, completeness, and determines status for further review

• Assists in the preparation of the facility program description and in preparation of reports to AAALAC, USDA, OLAW, and other agencies as needed.

• Provides documents for review by clients or regulators, and responds to audit findings

• BS in Life Sciences or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology

• Experience may be substituted for education

• AALAS certification at Technician or Technologist level is preferred

• Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA) certification is preferred

Experience

• Requires 4-5 years of combined scientific, lab animal technician, and academic experience
