Job Description
Implements health education program and strategy that meets internal and external expectations for demonstrating quality outcomes. Designs, implements, and evaluates health education programs, including integration into technology-based modalities, to provide quality and cost-effective health education services. Accountable for health education projects and initiatives through direction setting and leadership. Develops health education activities aligned with company strategies, values and goals. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert (SME) on aspects of the health education program. Create and provide culturally and linguistically sensitive group health education services to members and the community. Manages and oversees health education projects and initiatives through design, development, implementation and evaluation, including establishing effective referral systems and marketing, monitoring quality documentation and reporting, and facilitating use of community services. Forms and leads cross functional workgroups to design and implement health education initiatives. Oversight of the health education program including, but not limited to, programs/infrastructure, business integration and community partnerships, delegation and regulatory accreditation support, clinical and service measurement and continuous improvement. Conducts population needs assessments and contributes to the health plan population health strategy by participating in the establishment of department strategic goals and priorities. Designs the data collection methodology, metrics, and data elements needed to measure outcomes of health education projects. Develops and recommends high quality, culturally appropriate health education materials, tools and services. Promotes program resources and objectives with provider and community partners. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Nursing degree, or other comparable healthcare experience.

Master of public health degree (MPH) with an emphasis in health education from a school and program of public health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (MPH without emphasis in health education will be considered with comparable experience).

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years progressive experience in operational management roles in the healthcare industry, regulatory environment and quality management with demonstrated leadership ability.

Project management and leadership experience with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Related work experience in health education design and coordination.

Demonstrated competency in applying evidence-based approaches to program planning, development, integration into care & evaluation.

Demonstrated ability to apply cultural competence and health literacy to projects or programs for diverse communities.

Education
