The Lead Analytic Consultant position is a 100% remote, work from home position. The candidate can live in any state.
The position is primarily Monday through Friday, and the candidate can work the hours of their time zone but must have flexibility for meetings which will occur during 8am-5pm EST.
Minimal travel is expected with this position.
The Lead Analytic Consultant is responsible for the successful design and delivery of complex analyses and reporting solutions to meet business needs. Interacts directly with internal customers and colleagues in the development of reporting and analytic solutions. Acts as a project lead for complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks. Provides mentoring to other team members.
-Collaborates with internal partners and organizations in the design and development of business intelligence and reporting solutions to support business needs.
-Develops, validates and executes complex queries, develops complex reports and performs complex data analysis that answers business questions for internal customers; interprets results, and makes recommendations to business areas based on findings.
-Develops project plans and timelines; responsible for project commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.
-Evaluates data needs of assigned projects, assures data integrity and suitability, and determines data collection methods, metrics definitions and evaluation methods.
-Turns data into actionable information through reporting solutions.
-Troubleshoots technical details / issues.
-Presents analysis and reports to internal customers and stakeholders.
-Acts as a mentor to other analysts.
-Provide technical and analytic support through KPI dashboard development, performance management tracking, investigative analysis into performance shortfalls or data anomalies, automated reporting, and process improvement solutions.
-Assist in development of business and technical requirements provided to separate internal business units for future analytic requests. Partner with internal business units to ensure the successful delivery of analyses and analytic solutions to meet business goals.
-Development and automation of monthly internal and external client performance management dashboards. Present monthly performance results to leadership. Identify and explain any significant performance changes from one month to the next.
The Lead Analytic Consultant is part of a Clinical Operations Reporting team that has a blend of skillsets, including data query specialists (with SAS/SQL experience) and report development specialists (with Power BI, Excel/VBA experience).
-Advanced knowledge of business intelligence reporting platforms and programming tools and methods.
-7-10 or more years’ experience with a combination of one or more of the following skillsets: advanced programming and data transformation skills using SAS, SQL, etc.; using large data warehouse environments. SAS coding experience is required.
-7-10 years of experience in advanced data visualization and dashboard development skills in Power BI.
-7 - 10 years of experience in advanced reporting automation and business intelligence development skills (e.g., Excel /VBA etc.).
-5+ years’ experience working with BASE/PC SAS. BASE/PC SAS is the primary software tool used and the candidate must know how to write/read SAS code at an advanced level to be successful in this role. Candidates who only have experience using GUI drag and drop functionality without much coding in SAS EG (Enterprise Guide) do not meet the qualifications that we are seeking for this role.
-5+ years’ experience working with PowerBI.
-5+ years’ experience translating business requirements into technical requirements used to enhance end user interface and back-end data capture designed for report development.
-5+ years’ experience working with large data sets from multiple data sources and understanding of relational databases, data systems and data warehouses.
-5+ years’ experience resulting in extensive and diverse knowledge of business operational metrics, systems and standards – knowledge of clinical operations metrics a plus; demonstrated subject matter expertise in multiple subject areas.
-5+ years’ experience with data exploration into documented/undocumented sources and requirements development.
-5+ years’ experience leading project teams; strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
-5+ years’ experience identifying report automation process improvement opportunities, developing automated solutions, trouble-shooting data anomalies, analyzing data to discover opportunities to increase productivity
-Must be comfortable with using online, independent learning to learn/research new skills/technology.
-Ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.
-Ability to compose training documents and lead training sessions on new tools.
-Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.
-Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking and project management skills.
-Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.

-Master’s degree in quantitative field or MBA preferred.
