Job Description


The primary responsibilities for this Field Service Technician include providing great customer service while installing, diagnosing and solving retail equipment failures within service level agreements at CVS locations nationally.

This equipment includes POS (point of sale) registers, self checkout registers, thermal printers, laser printers, scanners, servers, PCs, thin clients, phone systems, RF, networking, pharmacy, minute clinic, photo and other related computer peripherals.

This Field Service Technician position involves travelling between CVS locations nationally to service and install hardware and assisting other neighboring areas with workload.

The normal shift scheduling for this position is Monday- Friday with on-call nightly and weekends for high severity service calls . All candidates must be able to travel extensively with overnight stays on a weekly basis in the U.S, including some weekends.

To succeed at this position you need:

• Strong Customer Service skills
• Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office
• Ability to pass a substance/drug test and background test
• Ability to drive between CVS locations in a large geographic area on daily basis
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware
• Reside in the territory supported
• Ability to lift laser printers, servers, heavy equipment 75lbs and occasionally work on a ladder
• Must be able to obtain a credit card or have ability to pay for out of pocket expenses for air, hotel, meals, etc on a weekly basis to be reimbursed by the company.

Required Qualifications
• 1+ years of previous hands-on technical knowledge and experience. (Preferably IT experience with hardware and electronics) or 2+ years in a related tech field.

• Valid Driver’s License with no major violations

• Must provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID19
