The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges.What You’ll Work OnOur location in Irving, Texas currently has an opportunity for an Interface Engineer for our AlinIQ portfolio, and work in close collaboration with cross functional teams. This position will implement, support, train, and provide service documentation to our internal Digital Delivery personnel. Main Responsibilities

• Level 3 Field Support:

Provides phone or email coverage and documentation. Identifies and provide root cause analysis for informatics product. This includes the use of the service tools, manuals, and log analysis, as appropriate. Develop action plans for account resolutions. Performs technical responsibilities of local Digital Delivery personnel, such as performing repairs, service documents, and installs. Performs data gathering and monitoring of Digital Delivery goals.

• Training:

Train Digital Delivery teams (internal or external) in either remote, classroom or field setting. Field co-travels to receive On the Job (OJT) training. Follows processes and procedures related to instrumentation and how to properly interact with customers. Critically evaluates student performance and provides feedback to management team. Trains/mentors new trainers. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical content development and review.

• Service Documentation:

Redlines and/or develops service/ quality documents. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cross functional site documents. Performs service documentation approval process while forming relationships with the appropriate areas. Work with R&D to ensure service deliverables met the launch/release strategy.

• Product Support:

Represents Global Digital Delivery team at cross functional meetings. Manage deliverables assigned, which includes due dates, resources and time needed, etc, as a member of a project team. Drives service deliverables by working closely with planning, quality, engineering, etc. Identify, develop, and implement new service tools, parts, and procedures to reduce service costs globally. Lead cross functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, local Digital Delivery, etc.) to resolve product issues quickly and effectively.Accountability

• Mentors team members on Global Digital Delivery roles and responsibilities.
• Works with ADD Service Representatives worldwide to ensure timely issue escalation/resolution.
• Ensures compliant, technically accurate service documentation.
• Works closely with R&D, Product Management, Commercial and Marketing to implement Digital Delivery strategy on existing and new products

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar discipline including Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Healthcare Informatics.

• 6 years of work experience in clinical laboratory, biomedical engineering, diagnostic medical equipment servicing, IT networking or related service or laboratory field.

Preferred Qualifications• Preferred: MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar discipline including Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Healthcare Informatics. • 10 or more years of experience with 3 or more years working with RFID solution.• Expert in network or/and IT infrastructure and troubleshooting• Hands on experience with RFID solution implementation and support preferably in healthcare environment• Hands on experience in troubleshooting RFID and barcodes handheld devices • Experience in database design and management with relational databases, or other similar technologies with emphasis on MySQL and/or SQL scripting• Experience in various ERP & EDI integration such as SAP and Lawson • Experience in implementing and supporting VM environment i.e. Hyper-V and VMWare• Experience in Linux or Windows OS, application architecture• Experience in creating high quality, well documented artifacts• Knowledge in clinical applications and systems (EMR, HIS, LIS, LIMS) a plus• Knowledge in the implementation of APIs based on web services, using SOAP and REST protocols, standards such as OAuth2 and JSON, XML or other exchange formats a plus* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
