What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will be responsible for providing Maintenance support to the AML7 Drug Substance Manufacturing Plant. Leads the execution of Maintenance activities in accordance to stipulated production schedule, compliance requirements, and assures Process and Equipment Reliability by providing effective execution of the Maintenance Program. Supports the Plant Corrective, Preventive, and Predictive Programs and leads continuous improvement projects at the Maintenance or Manufacturing areas. This position will be supporting non-standard shifts.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides Maintenance support to the Manufacturing, Utilities, and Facilities areas, and performs Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities to Process equipment such as pumps, tanks, mixers, homogenizers, centrifuges, chromatography skids, and other specialized equipment.
  • Responds to corrective maintenance activities and performs the necessary repairs in a timely and effective manner. Performs trouble shooting and failure analysis highly specialized equipment or complex systems.
  • Coordinates and complete Predictive Maintenance inspections such as vibration analysis, infrared analysis, ultrasound analysis, oil analysis, alignment laser or other technologies as required.
  • Serves as Group Leader for the area and helps Maintenance Managers and Maintenance Planners in the coordination and oversight of daily activities.
  • Actively participates on the Daily Management Meetings of the Maintenance and Production areas and provides update of assigned action items.
  • Uses the MAXIMO CMMS to manage, document Maintenance activities, prepare reports, and analyze data to identify trends and takes appropriate corrective action and/or makes recommendations.
  • Provides technical advice, recommends, and implements changes to activities included in the Preventive Maintenance Job plans instructions to follow standards, codes, and implement best practices.
  • Supports System Owners / Managers on equipment / systems Validation activities, Investigations, Change Controls, CAPA implementations and other compliance activities.
  • Adheres to Safety Programs practices, requirements and ensures a safe work environment. Serve as a Safety Leader and promotes on-the-job safety and housekeeping in the Maintenance Shop and Operational areas.
  • Supports the Maintenance area continuous improvement process and uses Lean methodologies to drive initiatives and efficiencies. Leads improvement projects at the Maintenance or Manufacturing areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree and 4 years of Maintenance experience

OR

  • High School diploma and 6 years of Maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of one or more of the following technical Maintenance subject areas: (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, HVAC, Facilities).
  • Operational and Maintenance knowledge of industry equipment, facilities, and its applicable compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with Quality concepts and cGMP documentation.
  • Experience with Reliability practices, and predictive/preventative programs.
  • Solid understanding of CMMS Systems like Maximo.
  • Lean work environment experience. Yellow/Green or other Continuous Improvement certifications.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English and Spanish.
  • Computer management skills and knowledge of MS Office Suit.
  • Ability to develop and handle good working relationships with peers, customers, contractors and suppliers.
