Job Description
As a Lead Director of Offsite Product and Go to Market Strategy on our CVS Media Exchange (CMX) business, you'll drive the future direction and development of a fast-growing retail media arm for the 4th largest company in the US.

Your aim is two-fold; identify and launch forward-thinking offsite media product strategies as well as the evaluation and commercialization of a self-serve buying model across our media portfolio.

Bringing along cross-functional counterparts, you’ll develop business cases and work toward articulate, data-driven recommendations. Your clear understanding of the programmatic buying landscape and retail media ecosystem will enhance the vetting process as you navigate roadblocks and create a lucrative self-serve buying offering as well as introduce new media channels that drives value for advertisers.

Reporting to the Executive Director of CMX, your comfort with independently advancing workstreams will be essential to success. You’ll bring your knowledge of market best practice as you assess the landscape, explore feasibility (e.g. legal review, operational readiness) and quantify the upside of various self-serve buying pathways. Our CMX leadership team will trust you to outline your thought process and go-forward recommendation,
including key considerations for the business to gain prioritization. We know you have experience in vetting outside partners, so where applicable, we’ll put those skills into action as we find the right company fit and decide on a buy/build/partner approach.

We’ve seen immense success at CMX in our first 2 years, and a lot of that is due to a team of strong talent unencumbered by traditional role definitions. While a large portion of your new position will be focused on accelerating the CMX offsite media product, there is opportunity to own or support other strategic initiatives as they align with your passions and strengths. Your morning may be making traction against a new offsite buying model while your afternoon is spent supporting application of media in new sectors of the CVS Health business. Or maybe you have a passion around getting our CMX voice out there and speaking at industry conferences gets you excited. While your workplan will be clear and you’ll be given the right level of direction, this really is a multi-faced position that will keep things fresh.

Above all, you’ll build and manage a team of top talent that has direct influence on our CMX roadmap and consistent leadership visibility throughout the CVS Health organization. Your experience in product strategy and background in media will be a lethal combo that inspires CMX differentiation vs. our competitive set. Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 100,000
Maximum: 221,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
•8+ years of digital media, advertising technology, and marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.
•6+ years of programmatic experience with a foundation of self-serve buying platform, retail media and advertiser understanding
•6+ years cross-functional leadership experience, including demonstrated success building & leading a large team in a start-up business structure
•4+ years of offsite media product strategy experience, including examples of standing up net new products

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience standing up a self-serve buying model in partnership with a DSP, SSP, or DMP
•Experience with relevant marketing technology, with a command over offsite programmatic buying models and baseline familiarity with owned channels
•Proven track record to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners (e.g. legal, marketing, IT, digital) and cross functional teams to achieve aggressive organizational goals
•Intellectual curiosity and rigorous analytical experience creating business cases by determining addressable attainable business opportunity and translating that into a recommended plan
•Can work within the realities and constraints of the organization, understanding when to work within an existing framework and when to push for change
•Self-motivated, high-capacity person who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment
•Excellent communication skills that can be articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base
•Creative problem solver who can incorporate new insights into existing plans and act decisively and independently
•MBA

Education
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing or related field OR equivalent experience (4years of relevant work experience).
