Job Description
CVS Health is seeking an experienced professional individual to lead and engineer efficient test solutions of highest quality at lowest possible cost using modern technology practices.

The Manager, Quality Assurance Engineer will play a vital role by leading the Retail Quality Engineering team in continually executing its quality strategy and ensuring the development and release of the highest quality software products. The Manager, QA Engineering may lead and supervise teams of QA colleagues, and collaborates on cross functional teams to deliver on quality initiatives and techniques that promote the best software quality.

This position will be responsible to develop the test strategy/plan for large, complex manual test efforts and seek approval from the project stakeholders. The position will also be responsible for applying automation and QA engineering solutions where possible to ensure the most efficient test delivery and fastest time to market.

Key responsibilities include:
• Lead, oversee and actively participate in test case development and execution activities and is accountable for the quality outcomes for assigned projects
• Coordinate application connectivity, as needed, to create the appropriate application ecosystem required to support the test phases
• Confirm test approach, test data, execution results used for the project under test meets the objectives
• Act as a coach/mentor to QA staff
• Monitor defects reported against the assigned projects and ensure they are brought to closure prior to deployment
• Coordinate End to End test activities and artifacts as applicable for the projects in test
• Define and maintain test strategies, standards, templates, processes, and procedures for all business- critical releases assigned
• Ensures complete execution of business-critical releases maintaining overall quality, budget & schedule
• Sets team direction, resolves issues and provides guidance to team members ensuring they meet the established metrics and goals.
• Focuses on analyzing existing process gaps and driving solutions to fix gaps
• Mentors Junior staff members
• Anticipate, identify, track and resolves technical & business issues and risks affecting delivery
• Leads the internal and external release meetings ensuring clear, complete, thorough, and consistent documentation of status, issues, risks, budget, key decisions, root cause and final resolution.
• Has advanced knowledge and experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC and STLC methodologies, automation & knowledge to understand & resolve technical issues.
• Supports developing strategies for automation in projects with strong knowledge on AWS and Microsoft-Azure cloud platforms
• Applies knowledge of SQL server and NoSQL databases CASSANDRA, MongoDB for validations of RxConnect project databases such as OLTP, ODS, AAS and RDS which results in quality deliveries of the releases.
• Applies deep experience in Manual and Automation testing of software applications using tools including QTP, Selenium, Java, JMeter, Rally, Jenkins, Soap UI, TestNG, Jira, Postman and Eclipse
Advanced knowledge and experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC and STLC methodologies
• Knowledge in any one of the programming languages such as Dotnet, Java or VB scripting or modeling experience with UML or ARD or other similar tools
• Experience using Gitlab, Subversion (SVN) for source code version control management
• Experience with database (Oracle or SQL server) writing SQL queries, stored procedures and creating views
• Ability to adapt to new changes, methodologies & technology.
• Advanced knowledge of software design and programming principles
• Five years’ experience working with test management tools (HP ALM Quality Center, IBM Rational Robot, Test Manager, Rally or similar test tools
• Exposure to Model based testing concepts
Solid Problem-Solving and Analytics skills to understand complex requirements, define advanced technical/functional solutions, troubleshoot issues, and identify fixes
• Experience working as test automation architect and/ or Agile Requirements Designer (ARD) modeling architect
• RPA experience with UiPath or other RPA tools
• Prior experience in leading large distributed (onsite-offshore) teams

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,000
Maximum: 167,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Preferred Qualifications
• Retail Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience
• 2+ yrs analyzing complex systems (applications/data structures) and their associated relationships

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline with five years’ experience in software quality assurance, or an equivalent work experience in software quality assurance
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline with three years’ experience in software quality assurance, or an equivalent work experience in software quality assurance
