The Senior Financial Analyst will support the HCB Consolidations team in monthly close production responsibilities. The person in this role will engage with leadership on analysis and review of our balance sheet, cash flow and working capital and will interact with various areas within the Company including Financial Systems, Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Tax, SEC, Investments, and various Business Units.
The successful candidate should exhibit strong communication skills, have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and produce polished presentations to executive leadership.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assist in the preparation, review and distribution of our monthly Balance Sheet, and Working Capital packages
-Responsible for various elements of the monthly financial GAAP close process including recording of consolidating journal entries, maintenance and reconciliation of financial systems, analysis of outcomes versus expectations and investigation of variances, etc.
-Engage with the team on various cash flow forecasting activities, utilize the cash flow Hyperion system, manage data, reporting, and results.
-Proactively identify systemic improvement opportunities and work through implementation
-Participate and lead various projects and initiatives including improved general ledger financial reporting, new reporting systems, cash flow forecast process improvements, internal control enhancements and integration activities
-Provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis in response to ad hoc management requests and issues

3+ years of financial reporting, financial analysis or accounting experience.
3+ years of Miscrosoft Excel experience including pivot tables, vlookup, and other similiar skills.

--Knowledge of GAAP reporting and closing cycle
-Oracle, Hyperion and/or S4 experience preferred
-Proficient use of both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
-Ability to effectively analyze and interpret financial data as well as convey findings
-Strong critical thinking skills
-Experience improving processes in areas such as accounting close, financial reporting, and management analysis
-Healthcare insurance industry knowledge
-Demonstrated organizational and communication skills required
-Organized team player who works collaboratively within work teams
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting ot Finance or equivalent experience required.
