Job Description
The Pulse Design System engineering team is a group of talented engineers building components across Web, iOS, and Android to create a design system at the scale of a Fortune 5 company! We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of our enterprise design system, supporting 1000+ developers and 40 million customers who use our extensive collection of websites and native apps. This individual will bring a passion for building scalable, reliable, performant software and a passion for systems thinking, unifying diverse teams around common solutions to shared goals.

Primary Responsibilities include:

---Leading a team of talented, passionate engineers building component libraries across Web, iOS, and Android
---Partnering closely with Product, Design, and Architecture to shape the vision, mission, guiding principles, and roadmap for the Pulse Design System
---Working with Product to plan sprint work that enables the team to execute against its roadmap
---Unifying engineering teams using disparate component libraries around our Pulse Design System's component library
---Encouraging engineers across CVS Digital to contribute to our component libraries by creating a set of contributing guidelines
---Advocating for best practices in all phases of the software life cycle, pushing for continuous improvement and innovation

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 95,000
Maximum: 209,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
---8+ years software engineering
---5+ years leading large, cross-functional initiatives as a tech lead or engineering manager
---3+ years managing engineering teams
---3+ years working with large scale design systems
---3+ years in Agile environment
---Proficiency in web and mobile technologies
---Experience partnering with design and product partners to deliver products at scale
---Experience with CI/CD practices, source versioning tool/s (e.g. Git), automated testing, and testing framework/s (e.g. RTL, Jest, Cypress, XCTest)
---Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrating technical leadership

Preferred Qualifications
---Programming languages/frameworks: Swift, Jetpack Compose, JavaScript, React, Angular, TypeScript, Node, StencilJS
---Publishing Android apps to the Google Play Store and/or iOS apps to the App Store
---Building UI components with accessibility as a first class citizen
---Exposure to DevOps tools, processes, and culture (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, Git, etc.)
---Awareness of new and emerging technologies

Education
---Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience is required
