POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Planner within the Supply Chain Planning group is responsible for material resource planning to support Syracuse Manufacturing. This role will provide leadership within the planning group, ensuring compliant change management, timely and optimized management of materials, and scenario planning as needed to support production capacity. This role will have emphasis on SAP data management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Material Resource Planning (MRP) to support Syracuse manufacturing.

  • Monitors and manages data quality standards for the site.

  • Extracts/interprets SAP data for optimized report building and visual representations.

  • Ability to collect and interpret SAP or other data to support site inventory or triage needs.

  • Escalate/communicate Supply Chain and inventory concerns to management and site leadership.

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Procurement, MST, Finance, Quality, etc.) including identifying issues, analyzing information/data, and developing/implementing solutions.

  • Oversees production related master data, process order creation, BOM maintenance activities as needed.

  • Submit, review and/or approve master data requests.

  • Serves as contact person for raw material and consumable release priorities.

  • Demonstrates leadership and change management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • 5-7 years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality or Manufacturing

  • High proficiency with SAP/ERP as it relates to planning, procurement and/or data management.

  • Understanding of typical end-to-end planning and material management functions.

  • Professional (CPIM, CSCP APICS) certification is desirable.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of data interpretation tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, etc.

  • Knowledgeable of supply chain planning and scheduling concepts.

  • High proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology. Lean Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of cGMP’s, Federal and State regulatory requirements, Company policies/procedures, and documentation practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and work with urgency.
