What You’ll Work On

  • Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project management to meet or exceed customer needs
  • Lead the Global Logistics Project Review Board processes and meetings driving adherence to established processes and best practices
  • Prioritize the portfolio of projects with senior management including accountability for escalating resource constraints and nonperformance
  • Manage multiple, global, complex, cross-functional projects, from beginning to end, with accountability for project execution
  • Demonstrate stewardship and provide leadership to meet Division strategies and business objectives
  • Perform project/portfolio management and analyses
  • Perform data analytics including analyzing data systems, automating information retrieval, and preparing presentations and reports to make recommendations that improve our business
  • Ensure project scope and success criteria are clearly established; develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables
  • Initiate, lead and communicate project assessments and lessons learned
  • Establish clear priorities
  • Ensure team is working within project scope and effectively coordinate the activities of the team to meet project milestones
  • Proactively identify changes in project scope and assure appropriate measures are taken to reassess and amend requirements, budget and timeline
  • Create and deliver project review presentations
  • Work directly with functional area managers to resolve issues that impact completion of project objectives: determine when to escalate issues to appropriate levels of management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 6 or more years of experience in project leadership role with demonstrated expertise leading teams
  • Extensive knowledge of and competency in project management methodology and processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, working in teams, issue management, monitoring and reporting, and documentation
  • Knowledge or experience with Supply Chain budget / cost control techniques

Preferred:

  • PMP or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Technical background sufficient to understand issues involved with Logistics projects (both distribution and multiple modes of transportation) preferred
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management
  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical thought and action
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities at once and manage time appropriately
  • This position will work with limited supervision and is accountable for all project deliverables
  • Knowledge of warehousing operations, contracts and pricing mechanics
  • Ability to interact with and influence a higher level of management and vendors
