Job Description
The Application Development Senior Manager is responsible and accountable for the quality and cohesion of solution architecture components within PBM and RxClaim Adjudication application, and their conformance to approved CVS Health IT standards. You will ensure alignment of IT solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit. You will serve as a senior individual contributor application architect providing industry leading technical direction and guidance to the RxClaim application development teams to ensure appropriate and cost-effective application of CVS Health approved technologies.

Within the AS/400 application development area you will:
• Oversee life cycle process (e.g., design, analysis, review) and testing results to ensure adherence to quality requirements and ensure the product works.
• Provide solutions and design complex functionality within the RxClaim application and define technical solutions and documents within the RxClaim application.
• Partner with teams and serve as subject matter expert to provide bench-marked solutions to multiple, complex technical projects/initiatives using multiple interlocking technologies.
• Establish and drive execution of technical direction, standards, guidelines and methodology for use of specified technologies.
• Solve highly technical and complex problems for multiple projects or teams.
• Educate technical advisors and technical leads on specific technologies.
• Develop and improve strategic and enterprise-wide technical direction.
• Create or revise operating procedures relating to specific technologies or IS processes.
• Lead assigned team projects and mentor junior resources as needed.

As the Sr. Technical Manager Application Development, you will work with senior business leaders on key projects and initiatives related to processes for the Adjudication applications. You will facilitate the discussions related to process changes, impacts and potentially new functionality.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 115,000
Maximum: 230,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of technical AS400 experience in a development role in a professional services environment exhibiting proven client management, relationship development, analytical and problem-solving skills, and end-to-end experience with software development methodologies.
• 7+ years technical experience with AS400, Synon, RPGILE, SQL Query, MS Office
• 3+ years as a 'Project Owner' driving the technical solution for projects and providing updates to senior leaders.
• 3+ years of experience in SDLC methodologies and supporting toolsets and familiarity and exposure to development environments.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience successfully managing customer requirements and/or demands.

Preferred Qualifications
• Healthcare Experience
• IBM X-analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye Experience
• Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication system is preferred
• Modernization of Legacy Applications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required. Will accept a verifiable H.S. diploma / GED with one year of relevant work experience for every year college not attained in addition to required years of experience.
