Vaccine Logistics Operator (2nd Shift)

Vaccine Logistics Operators are responsible for the receiving and movement of materials between the packing lines, staging areas, and docks. They are responsible to assure an accurate count of finished materials prior to shipment and loading the trailers. Accuracy is critical to ensure shipments leave in a timely, safe, and compliant manner. The scope of material handling performed in this role include all materials (i.e. packaging materials, finished goods) that serve the vaccine production and distribution processes.
A Vaccine Logistics Operator will perform a variety of tasks including:
Loading and/or unloading trucks
Preparing materials for shipment (i.e. counting, applying labels, etc.)
Handling returns of finished goods
Labeling materials for shipment
Inspecting shipments prior to receipt
Receipt of materials intended for vaccine operations.
Performing SAP material movement transactions
Cross training required on vaccine packaging lines
Documenting activities as required
Moving materials using forklifts and transfer trucks
Interacting with external customers and enabling groups (e.g. UPS, Fed-Ex, KN, DHL, Customer Service, Quality, EHS, etc…)
Participating on teams as required (e.g. Safety Team, process improvement teams, special projects)
Participating in and adhering to IMEx standards/processes
Complying with all standard operating procedures, internal/external regulations, safety guidelines and GMP’s.
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Prior applicable forklift experience
1 to 3 years warehouse experience (GMP warehouse experience preferred)
Working knowledge of warehouse management computer systems
Ability to obtain the following certifications as needed: Forklift certification, Hazmat certification, Valid Driver’s License
Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills
Repetition of activities.
Extended standing and/or walking.
Frequent time around equipment with moving parts.
Ability to use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work will primarily be performed in controlled temperature conditions ranging between (15-30C)
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Must be available for weekend and daily overtime as needed
