Position Overview

Functions that relate to sheet metal enclosure fabrication. Process orders for special product and make programs for various machinery using Cad Cam software. Work on process improvement and cost out projects. Work with shop supervisors to identify manufacturing improvements to products and workflow.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process all special customer orders
  • Create and maintain bill of materials
  • Create and maintain routings
  • Maintain stock product
  • Create and maintain programs for panel bender, punch press, laser, and turret press machines
  • Quaity check product as it goes through the fabrication process
  • Provide technical support for all shop floor processes
  • Provide phone support for customers and customer service representatives
  • Process ECO’s
  • Work on assigned special projects
  • Process rework orders
Skills and Experience

Education and/or Experience

A degree from a college or university, trade school, related experience and/or training in sheet metal production, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Drawing Interpretation

Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions related to sheet metal production.

Computer Skills

This job utilizes many different computer software systems including SAP, Autodesk/AutoCAD/Inventor, and various CAM programming software including Striker, Cadman, and Master Bend Cam.
