The Palletizer Mechanic serves as role model for good safety practices through personal leadership, taking technical and operational ownership of the Warehouse Palletizing area.Be a driver to ensure reliability of all related systems.Continue developing mechanical & electrical skills while supporting daily Warehouse needs and continuous improvement initiatives. All Company employees must conduct Company business in every instance in accordance with the highest standards of ethical business conduct.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively support the Plant’s improvement initiative by completing all scheduled training and assigned responsibilities.

  • Good mechanical aptitude and effective use of basic hand tools.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems with minimal assistance.

  • Ability to utilize all math skills, such as basic math, geometry and algebra to complete necessary job tasks.

  • Ability to understand equipment blueprints, schematics, procedures etc.

  • Fork lift and work heights training certified as assigned.

  • Ownership of PM and Safety tag completion.

  • Maintain GMP/5S standards related to the area.

  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Preferred Graduate of a two year post secondary program in Industrial Mechanic/Electricity or appropriate specialty.

  • Successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program or three years directly related mechanical experience can be substituted for post secondary education.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
