The Business Systems Analyst will be within the Agile Transition Office and will be responsible for supporting the Jira and Jira Align adoption, usage, and reporting as part of the Jira/Jira Align agile team. A key expectation of this role is understanding user needs and connecting them to our agile planning tools.

Today, there are over 10,000 users across Prudential who leverage Jira for backlog management and 1,000 users to be onboarding to Jira Align. The Business Systems analyst for Jira/Jira Align will be responsible for bringing together user needs and agile tooling capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an Agile tooling expert for planning tools (Jira/Jira Align) for one business unit
  • Bring subject matter expertise in agile and business acumen to build deep understanding of line of business and corporate function to enable Jira and Jira Align usage in those areas
  • Work closely with business units to implement, refine, and provide guidance with their tool adoption, in partnership with other analysts
  • Collaborate as a team with other analyst to triage issue and questions from tool users and provide ongoing support of user through training and office hours
  • Testing and validation of vendor product changes and upgrades
  • Engages business customers and other technical systems analysts to formulate logical statements of business, scientific and or engineering enhancements
  • Reviews business needs and recommends tool configuration changes or enhancements
  • Contribute and participate in the communication and explanation of system design proposals, reasoning, and decisions to Business Stakeholders.
  • Leverages technology experience to help influence and direct business partners in the optimum solution for their business
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance
  • Solves complex problems takes a new perspective using existing solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience with Jira required, Jira Align preferred
  • 5 + years of working on an agile team
  • Attention to detail
  • Has a passion for problem solving
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
