We have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Associate on the Actuarial Strategy and Analytics Team, who will be responsible for:

  • Analytics and R&D supporting strategic initiatives such as inforce optimization, regulatory changes, and new product initiatives.
  • Partnering with colleagues across corporate and business teams to support coordination and prioritization of strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.

  • Support modeling and analysis of risk and profitability profile with regards to inforce management and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance analytical tools or approaches for understanding and solving business challenges.
  • Interact with and collect / compile results from business and corporate partners.

Qualifications

  • Support modeling and analysis of risk and profitability profile with regards to inforce management and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance analytical tools or approaches for understanding and solving business challenges
  • Interact with and collect / compile results from business and corporate partners.
  • Actuarial exam progress with a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, computer science, or other related quantitative fields
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and able to multi-task
  • Strong Excel and VBA programming skills. Experience with other actuarial software a plus (Moody’s AXIS, MATLAB, etc)
  • Knowledge of or exposure to programming and/or data visualization tools preferred, particularly Power BI, SQL, and Python
  • Actuarial internship or relevant business experience preferred

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: $63,400--$90,100+ discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
