Our Prudential Advisors division is presently recruiting for a Financial Analysis Associate for our Compensation and Planning & Analysis team in our Newark, NJ home office location.

The Compensation and Planning and Analysis team within Prudential Advisors is accountable for reporting and analyzing key performance indicators, financial modeling, sales planning, designing and administering compensation programs for Financial Advisors and Managers, and forecasting all of the key performance metrics for both Prudential Advisors and Prudential’s Financial Wellness initiatives. Our team works closely with Prudential Advisors senior leaders, Financial Wellness executives and our Sales leadership teams to provide oversight and analysis of all compensation and critical performance metrics

The current opening is for a motivated person with strong financial, analytical, and technical skills. This position is part of the Compensation and Planning and Analysis team and will have responsibility for providing ongoing support, in the form of compensation design, compensation administration and reporting and analytics, to the Senior, Territory and Field Leadership teams This support includes providing frequent trends and analyses of Prudential Advisors key performance drivers, compensation results and financial and analytical support to our many business partners both within and outside of Prudential Advisors. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in the ongoing oversight of our field leadership and financial advisor compensation programs, with an emphasis on Investments.

Description & Responsibilities:

  • Research and prepare analyses of current and/or past trends of Prudential Advisors key performance indicators and objectives.
  • Provide on-going support and assistance to the Prudential Advisors Territory and Field Leadership teams; research and analyze inquiries related to key performance drivers, compensation and/or other existing reports and programs.
  • Develop compensation programs and initiatives which are designed to enhance the advisor or customer experience and at times, improve the overall economics of the business.
  • Analyze quarterly advisor compensation results, with a focus on investments, to identify trends or concerns which would then be socialized with Senior Leaders for awareness.
  • Development and oversight of compensation programs and initiatives, which are designed to enhance the advisor or customer experience.
  • Additional ad hoc requests or project work as requested by Management.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a financial analysis or performance metrics role with strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking and the ability to problem solve
  • Broad understanding of financial services is desirable; investments is a plus
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels, both within our business unit and outside
  • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize, managing multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Preferred knowledge of key business drivers, performance metrics and/or financial implications to the business and the bottom line
  • Strong Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint Skills

Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $57,100-$77,300 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
