The candidate should be able to work independently in a fast paced and changing environment, with the ability to flex with shifting responsibilities and priorities. This position will give the successful candidate broad exposure to the business as well as key business stakeholders and corporate partners in Law, Risk, and Internal Audit.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing compliance support to business partners regarding the practical application of insurance, broker dealer, and other regulations.
  • Compliance coordination and oversight of required regulatory filings.
  • Assist in the development of testing and monitoring plans under Prudential’s Compliance Risk Management framework.
  • Coordinating the Group Insurance OFAC and FinCEN requests from Prudential’s Financial Crimes Unit.
  • Conduct research to resolve complex issues related to business operations.
  • Evaluate business operations processes and their effectiveness in conjunction with audit and internal assessment findings.
  • Assist the business to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) to comply with business and corporate policies in support of their operations.
  • Development, maintenance and execution of compliance reviews, monitoring, testing and control activities.
  • Work on cross-business unit projects and initiatives to support and drive the enterprise horizontal approach as a way of business.
  • Build continuous strong relationships with business partners.


  • The successful candidate should at least have 3-5 years of relevant compliance, regulatory, business, operations, or other relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of the regulations directly impacting life insurance and broker dealer operations, including state insurance laws, NAIC Model Regulations and FINRA & SEC rules
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize deliverables
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Openness to new ideas and seeks opportunities to learn
  • Professional skepticism in assessing appropriateness, objectivity and independence
  • Understand key business risks, marketplace and regulatory environment
  • Ability to think beyond a problem on its face
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and has the dexterity to adjust as needed
  • Understands the complexities and nuances of a global environment
  • Seeks to understand customer’s needs and challenges
  • Critical skills such as the ability to issue spot, think strategically, research and resolve are necessary
  • Ability to collaborate across business units and corporate functions in a fully inclusive and open manner
  • FINRA licenses, 6/26 or 7/24 a plus

Primary Location: Hybrid. On-site presence in Newark, NJ about 2x per month.
