• You are capable of designing, developing, validating, and deploying software solutions enabling remote monitoring measures for a unique consumer-centric, technology-enabled healthcare ecosystem.
• You can support interfacing with wireless sensor devices, retrieval and storage of back-end data, mobile infrastructure, and UI development
• You can provide support to innovation projects from inception to completion by leveraging your technical expertise in Android/IOS development and analytics knowledge to develop fit-for-purpose remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions

Job Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and tests software controlling RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring) devices, network/cloud subsystems OR Android/IOS mobile applications in support of RPM, in collaboration with the product team and other device engineers.
  • Engages in all phases of new product, new network/cloud subsystems OR new mobile application introduction, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, and 3rd party interfaces.
  • Works collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies and objectives, and work with consultants and vendors to develop and deliver appropriate software.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of embedded software, network/cloud OR mobile application architecture and implementation features
  • May use test equipment, such as o’scopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, JTAG units, etc., to solve hardware/software issues.
  • Applies best practices and defines optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability, performance, and disaster recovery for software systems.
  • Collaborates with the engineering and product teams to establish necessary test specifications and requirements for subsystem verification and validation of designs.
  • Researches and proposes new technologies that can be employed for development and the design of improvement to current subsystems.
  • Participates in agile sprints, stand-ups, grooming and retrospectives. Participate in code reviews and other related design reviews.
  • Collaborates with other team members in support of integration of new wireless devices into the RPM sub-system.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience working in the technology or digital space OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience working in the technology or digital space.
  • Experience with software design, development, debug and test practices
  • Experience working with at least 2 of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Java Script, C#
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Low level device drivers (Audio, Bluetooth, WiFi, Display), Networking and cloud-based technologies from Amazon, Microsoft, or Google such as orchestration, microservices, databases, notification services, and RESTful API development OR application and/or application framework development
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following architectures and components: Embedded device (Linux and/or RTOS environments), Network/cloud OR applications and/or application frameworks
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar technical field
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in native iOS and Android, including UI development
  • Detailed knowledge and extensive experience implementing wireless solutions communicating with various medical sensing and wearable devices
  • Knowledge in cloud-based technologies from Amazon, Microsoft or Google such as orchestration, microservices, databases, and notification services
  • Familiarity with medical device design control regulations
  • Experience in web-based technologies, e.g. HTML5, Java Script, CSS, Xamarin, Angular
The following information is applicable to Colorado only, in accordance with the Colorado Pay Equity Act. In Colorado, an employee in this position can expect a salary/hourly rate between $110,340.00 and $196,200.00 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan, if applicable will depend on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
