Associate Manager, Reinsurance Administration/Reporting - Data Analytics (hybrid / remote)

The Post-Execution team within ILI Reinsurance is responsible for reinsurance administration and financial reporting activities related to ILI’s affiliate and third-party reinsurance transactions. This includes the numerous core production responsibilities associated with the monthly, quarterly, and annual processes, as well as providing subject matter expertise on both inforce and new transactions. The Post Execution team also has critical objectives to be able to drive process improvements and transformation of technology to gain efficiency and accuracy. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical and communication skills with an attention to detail and be able to collaborate successfully with other members of the ILI Reinsurance staff, as well as with the Finance, Product Solutions, Valuation Reporting and Global Technology areas to achieve optimal results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute on retained reinsurance administration and reporting activities.
  • Provide oversight and support for sourced reinsurance activities.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts with focus around database extraction, transformation, and load processes.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and provide visual and narrative interpretation of data.
  • Complete trend analysis and other analysis for management and other key stakeholders.
  • Effectively collaborate with business partners elsewhere in ILI Reinsurance, Valuation, Finance, etc., as well as counterparts at third-party reinsurers.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to business partners on new and inforce reinsurance transactions.

  • 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a finance, accounting, actuarial or risk management function.
  • Previous reinsurance administration experience is preferred, but not required
  • Programming experience including SQL, Power BI, Python, Visual Basic for Applications and Microsoft Excel strongly preferred; a curiosity to learn coding languages required
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Approach work with intellectual curiosity and transparency with an openness to giving and receiving feedback
  • Self‐motivated, proactive and, thinking beyond functional responsibilities to broader business strategy
  • Ability to demonstrate an agile mindset, and able to work independently and within the team to manage shifting priorities.
  • Effective personal time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Over-time may be required during peak reporting periods.

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: ($83,300 to $118,300) + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement
