Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Walmart Omni Tech UX Team designs products and services that drive the supply chain for Walmart in the US and internationally. We create digital experiences for diverse customers including Walmart associates, drivers, merchants, suppliers, gig workers and consumers. The apps, services and sites that are designed by this team are foundational to enabling Walmart stores and [Register to View] to get our customers the products they want when they want them.

As a Senior Manager II, you will play a strategic role creating the vision, designing, and launching products that are vital to the global Walmart business. Our goal is to give our associates and drivers the right tools to meet the ever growing needs of our customers. You will lead a team of exceptional designers to craft quality, straightforward experiences that will be best in class for the industry. Some areas of accountability for this role include our Spark shopping and delivery platform, the JoyRun delivery app and our external software offerings for our partners. You'll employ your strength in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the wider team of stakeholders. While working with partners to determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations, you will create and champion an experience that is highly engaging and meets the high bar for experience that our customers expect.

  • A strong strategic mindset and a systems thinking approach.
  • Skills as a change maker who is not afraid to think big and challenge the status quo.
  • 3+ years of People Management experience.
  • Breadth and depth in enterprise and consumer design: Relevant experience including the ability to integrate customer insights and metrics into the design of enterprise tools, services, software.
  • Strong ability to recruit, mentor and grow design talent.
  • Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of trends in the marketplace - in and out of retail.
  • Ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences at all levels of understanding and levels of seniority.
  • Track record of shipping high impact products in a fast-moving and changing environment - one that celebrates experimentation, iteration, and shipping.
  • Experience leading product design process and building strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Ability to produce great work in short timeframes, multitask across different projects and platforms and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
  • Deep experience with business requirement gathering, journey mapping, facilitating sessions like Design Sprints, conducting competitive analysis, and leading rapid concepting and prototyping.
  • Champion of a design philosophy that is inclusive of all people.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar and at least 8-10 years of experience in product design.
  • Have a fantastic portfolio of elegant design solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
