Job Summary :

The Manager, Sales Development is responsible for crafting compelling, data-driven cross-platform advertising strategies for wag brand and agency clients across multiple categories. This role will proactively work to build out vertical and seasonal sales opportunities that lead the industry in scope, creativity, and audience solutions and build collateral for RFP’s. This position is a key role that will closely collaborate with internal teams (insights, planning, sales, marketing, business development and more) to uncover and sync offerings thus require a high level of professionalism and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Leads internal ideation sessions and acts as go-to-expert for sales solutions and recommendations
  • Creates marketing materials (decks, sell sheets, etc.) that weave together brand, data insights, and audience into enticing stories for sales.
  • Owns the development of vertical and’ seasonal sales packages and promotional one sheets based on audience/customer insights, select media product solutions, and Walgreens’ customer initiatives.
  • Partners with sales to develop collateral for RFP responses at predetermined spend levels for priority advertisers with all necessary materials, including media plans, in a timely manner.
  • Proactively collaborates with internal stakeholders in business development and planning to identify and develop creative, industry-leading sales solutions.
  • Works closely with account management and insights to understand post-sale performance and incorporate learnings into pre-sale efforts.
  • Keeps abreast of latest industry trends and competitive activities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience with digital advertising, ad agency, media agency, sales, programmatic, or social media OR High School/GED + at least 5 years of experience with digital advertising, ad agency, media agency, sales, programmatic, or social media.
  • Knowledge of the methods, principles, and practices of marketing and advertising
  • Understanding of the ad agency/client/media agency dynamics
  • First hand experience within the digital media ecosystem
  • Deep knowledge of presentation styles and tools
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations for sales teams
  • Excellent written skills and keen eye for design
  • Works well independently and under deadlines
  • High level skill in Microsoft suite
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as marketing, communications, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing or advertising, at a media company, client or ad/media agency.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with digital sales teams.
  • Experience working across different forms of digital media, video, social media, search. Note: in-store or OOH media experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce (or equivalent CRM system)
  • Experience providing white-glove service to internal and external customers
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Solid understanding of audience targeting
  • Solid understanding of data/insights, including primary, secondary research and how to weave into a presentation
