Prudential’s Enterprise Digital Technology Team is seeking a skilled Senior Agile Product Owner with a solid understanding of creating and improving digital capabilities and has a strong background in Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will be a critical thought leader in aligning the Enterprise Digital Technology Marketing Technology Roadmap with those of the Business and Technology stakeholders that rely on these key capabilities to solve complex challenges and deliver user-focused digital tools that help deliver business outcomes. As a Product Owner, you will work closely with technology partners, designers, and business partners to lead the development process and ensure that new digital capabilities meet Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This position is based in Newark, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leaders and other product owners across multiple business units to create a digital identity experience for Prudential Customers, both internal and external.

  • Develop and drive the product roadmap and prioritization to drive critical capabilities from concept to launch.

  • Create user stories independently and as part of a team, managing them through the full sprint cycle, including QA, final approvals, demos & all other agile ceremonies.

  • Set an ambitious and clear product vision, communicating effectively to key stakeholders and the agile team.

  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories to the product roadmap, prioritizing user stories based on stakeholder and constituent feedback.

  • Ensure customer-driven design, considering user pain points by using market & industry knowledge and insights from Designers, Business Leaders and Subject-Matter Experts.

  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams, using agile principles, ceremonies and artifacts to aid execution.

  • Lead and empower your agile team, ensuring that delivered features are aligned to Objectives and Key Results created in collaboration with stakeholders.


Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in an agile environment, preferably in a Product Owner Role.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in or with one or more business function (product, marketing, service, technology, customer experience, direct-to-consumer, etc.).

  • Track record of successfully delivering complex digital experiences with iterative release components.

  • Proven experience in gathering and transforming customer/business needs into an actionable product roadmap, and product roadmaps into product requirements.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the proven ability to be a "servant leader" in a matrix/nonhierarchical environment, embracing an agile mindset that evolves with the business.

  • Excellent work ethic, with an ability to be self-motivated; managing changing priorities and meeting aggressive deadlines.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, and business partners.

  • Execution focused with the ability to distill business/technology needs into a clear execution plan.

  • Ability to think strategically, collaborating with business owners, technology and the CPO to build a strategic digital roadmap that meets business needs.

  • Experience in digital experience development, with significant knowledge of user experience and design thinking principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data to illuminate key findings and areas of opportunity + summarize findings that educate key stakeholders in a way that is meaningful and compelling.

  • Challenger mindset with the passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change.

  • Travel required (approx. 20%).

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $151,500.00 to $204,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
