Our Sourcing Team is uniquely positioned to positively disrupt this space given our proximity, volume and worldwide presence. Our vision is to be the most trusted and resilient sourcing supplier powered by the scale and capabilities of Walmart.
To support this vision, we are building out a best in class Product team that will develop simple yet powerful tools with a unified user experience. The product tools will be rooted in a robust data platform and actionable analytics.We are looking for the best and the brightest Product leaders at all levels who can help shape and define our product roadmap and strategy and drive agile execution.
These product leaders will influence the strategic roadmap across multiple product tools to ensure an overall positive end to end journey experience for our users. One area will lean into supplier development to assist identifying suppliers across the globe that can meet our Walmart standards and deliver on our customer commitment uninterruptedly. Another area will bring visibility to our merchant team, so they might view our rich item catalog, along with trusted suppliers that can provide those goods and assist them in building a data driven plan to exceed our customer's needs and expectations. Additionally, this product team will also enable our sourcing managers to manage the day to day work of costing, negotiation and procurement of the items. Lastly, all of the product roles will be data driven and partner with our internal insights and analytics group translating data into actionable information. These are just a few example on how this team will help achieve the Sourcing mission to be the best in class and industry standard across the globe.
Defines and manages strategy and business objectives for moderately complex products by identifying market opportunities, conducting benchmark studies and competitive assessments; developing business cases; and setting objectives and key performance indicators for products.
Develops and enhances moderately complex products by developing and managing product roadmaps; gathering and documenting requirements; collecting and analyzing customer and product data; turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives; prioritizing product backlog; executing on user and business acceptance criteria; and managing roll out of product features.
Crafts and develops solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners (for example, Business leaders, User Experience, Engineering, Analytics); and engaging with key partners to deliver and support initiatives; and communicating status and insights related to product performance to stakeholders.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
