VP, Head of Bank and Reinsurer Relationship Management and Borrowing (Hybrid/Virtual)

As a senior leader within the Treasury team, the individual in this role will lead a team responsible for managing Prudential’s relationships with Banks and Reinsurers as well as overseeing borrowing related activities including external capital markets transactions.
The leader of this team will partner with key stakeholders external to Prudential and within Prudential’s businesses and functions to enable enterprise objectives and improve outcomes. This could include legal entity financing and liquidity management, capital markets activities and relationship management strategy and execution.
This leader will be expected to develop a technology enabled vision for their team, deliver on executing and investing in the development of skills for individuals within their own team as well individuals more broadly across Treasury. The individual in this role will report directly to Prudential’s Treasurer.
Key Responsibilities Include: Act as an internal and external partner and advisor who creates relevance with our stakeholders, anticipates needs and opportunities, makes connections, solves problems, and finds creative ways to connect the dots for Prudential
Support Treasury-wide strategic initiatives by providing subject matter expert opinion and insightful analytics
Manage Prudential’s capital structure, evolve it in light of the company’s strategic transformation and support affiliates with various funding and liquidity solutions
Strategize and execute on debt and loan capital markets transaction including debt, hybrids, contingent securities, syndicated loan facilities and share buyback program
Oversee all aspects of commercial paper trading desk across all programs including FINRA related compliance matters
Maintain policies and procedures, reporting and monitoring capabilities to enable team’s oversight of borrowing related activities across the organization including valuation, portfolio management and regulatory compliance related matters
Represent the function on various governance forums
Build collaborative and trusted relationships with relevant stakeholders across US and International Businesses as well as PGIM and corporate functions to ensure Prudential realizes its full potential by helping enable business outcomes
Act as first point of contact for many external stakeholders by building an external profile representing Prudential and overseeing all aspects of relationship management with our bank and reinsurance partners.
Manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA certification preferred. FINRA Series 7,63, 24 licensing preferred but not required
Minimum of 15 years experience in financial services, including in banking, risk management or related areas
Proven ability as an inclusive leader who develops talent, encourages diverse thinking and instills ownership among direct reports to deliver on a technology enabled vision
Successful track record of creating a culture and environment of continuous improvement which delivers rewarding professional development for team members and exceptional outcomes for Prudential
Broad and deep understanding of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets related activities
Experience with liquidity management, including cash and collateral management, at financial services firm a benefit but not required

Maintains an active network as an indicator of ability to cultivate relationships within Prudential and with our stakeholders
