Department OverviewThe Mission Critical Solutions Sales Specialist is chartered with the support of North America Sales goals through direct and indirect sales team support as the technical expert for Mission Critical Solutions. This sales support includes driving sales through MSI seller enablement at Area, Territory and Regional meetings, webinars and training workshops, including providing competitive positioning, key differentiators, sales strategy, RFP influence and sole source drivers. Sales support also includes engaging directly with customers during RFP Orals, Roadmap updates, and account planning working sessions. This direct customer involvement makes the MCSS integral to providing Voice-of-Customer inputs into the product organization to maximize sales and operating earnings within the Motorola government systems portfolio.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • The Mission Critical Solutions Sales Specialist is a critical role in the North America Sales process and requires a unique individual to be able to support customers directly along with driving sales through training and technical support for the sales teams.
  • Directly responsible for driving sales opportunities within the specific territory through in-person demonstrations, Oral Presentation support, RFP support, and training opportunities within the sales organization

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of sales/sales support or engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering a plus
  • State & Local Government Market experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ASTRO 25 systems, Subscribers, Accessories, LTE Devices, and Applications to support sales efforts; Technical knowledge of communications and radio solutions, devices including LTE products, accessories, and the solutions these devices interact with such as, but not limited to, ASTRO P25 systems, LTE systems, Applications, Radio Management, Emergency Features, and communications
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills required
  • Dynamic personality that is comfortable in a presentation setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively and teach others
  • Travel is required in this role (75-80% is expected).

Basic Requirements
  • 1+ years of sales/sales support or engineering experience
