Responsibilities

The RFP and content writer is responsible for various activities that support the sales organization with customer acquisition and retention. The RFP writer will help support the Request for Proposal (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) process and proposal content. A successful candidate will have superior writing and communication skills, excellent project/time management, and the ability to work both independently as well as a member of a small, high performance-output team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the RFP process from start to finish, including attending/leading kick off calls, establishing project timelines, and ensuring professional and high quality bids are submitted on time and to a high professional standard.
  • Provide drafts and final input to technical, management, past performance, or personnel sections of proposals. Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical information into proposal text in response to RFP, including coordinating requirements, layout, and material organization.
  • Produce quality responses to RFPs by following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone.
  • Ensure all content in RFPs, proposals, and presentations are on brand, current and consistent.
  • Maintain the team's RFP response library and ensure content is reviewed and updated (or retired) on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to create engaging, compelling, and continually accurate content.
  • Performing support and/or administrative tasks, as required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; ability to create and edit content as necessary with consistent and impactful messaging.
  • Project management skills- strong time management, effective communication, organization, and planning capabilities.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with colleges and external partners across all functions and levels.
Qualifications
  • College graduate preferred with Business to Business sales experience.
  • Exceptional and effective writing, editing, and message development skills with clear construction, grammar, and relevant content aligned to strict and robust brand guidelines.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and be highly flexible.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must have valid driver's license and full access to dependable means of transportation.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and professional demeanor
