Job Summary

Responsible for defining business intelligence requirements for individual subject areas; develops conceptual data models, design, build and test sets of reporting and analytic business intelligence programs. Works cross-functionally to collect data and makes actionable recommendations at all levels. Infers trends from a variety of data sources and confidently delivers their interpretation; makes recommendations to executives. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Experience with business intelligence analysis and data exploitation by extracting raw data from diverse data sources, integrates that information with other data sources and compiles/disseminates formatted reports to customers
  • Experience with relational databases, Big Data. Optimizing queries to pull and summarize large datasets, reporting, testing and ad-hoc analysis
  • Partners with the appropriate internal and external organizations to gain access to data
  • Extracts, manipulates, visualizes, and analyzes accurate, relevant, timely, and cohesive analytics for identified risk areas
  • Leads analysis along with recommendations to improve business intelligence reports and interpretation of data by sales, business development, product and executive committees
  • Develops, maintains and reports all relevant product, site and customer metrics and applies findings to develop appropriate goals and projections
  • Identifies fraud risk areas to the business and required monitoring analytics
  • Conceptual understanding of internal fraud data models to assist reporting and analytic business intelligence programs.
  • Experience with data wrangling tools such as Alteryx, Python or other programming languages: SAS is a plus
  • Familiarity with agile practices and JIRA is a plus
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Effectively communicates their findings from the data analysis both orally and in writing through the preparation of detailed reports
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Preferred Skills and Core Technical Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience working on data analytics and generating insights
  • 2+ years of experience developing advanced visualizations reporting and presentations preferably with Tableau
  • Oracle SQL

  • Windows and Linux OS
  • MS Office Applications
  • Previous experience working with Big Data and Big Data Applications
