Job SummaryThe Developer Experience (DevX) team is designed to improve the way our Comcast engineering teams develop solutions, and to make the lives of our Comcast developers easier and more enjoyable during their day-to-day jobs of developing, delivering, and managing software. We offer a set of 13 core developer services, supported by over 80 platforms, that help our customers work better, deliver their software faster, and stay cost-effective. We know that when we do all that, we make our development community happier too. As part of the Comcast TPX DevX: Portfolio team, you are a vital member of the Comcast Cable CTO's organization. Our team is integral to the very fabric of the DevX organization, in that most of our customers are our own DevX teammates. Our team focuses on aligning our internal DevX organization operations and delivering our large, cross-cutting programs across TPX. We support DevX’s many efforts through strategic planning and portfolio management, driving consistency across the organization to create a seamless, positive experience for the teams that run our services and platforms. We are a diverse group of customer-centric, curious risk-takers, willing to disrupt ourselves and others and driven by a desire to create operational excellence. We are seeking a passionate, self-directed technical program manager to help lead cross-functional strategic programs and help support our internal DevX organization operations, primarily portfolio management.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead some of our cross-functional strategic programs through different stages of a program lifecycle, from the early stages of building a strategy and business case to gaining leadership support, to standing up the program and delivering it within the scope, within budget, and on schedule. You will have an opportunity to coordinate among a wide range of cross-functional internal and external resources, and you will rely on clear communication to both share information with the intended target audience and gather the information you need to successfully achieve your outcomes.
In addition to program delivery, the Sr. Technical Program Manager will support the team’s core objective of driving operational excellence across the DevX organization. You will have an opportunity to partner with all of our technical program managers, scrum masters, service leads, and leadership to find opportunities to improve our operations and encourage consistency across our service portfolio. Along with portfolio management, you will help ensure our customer communications and messaging look and feels consistent, partnering with our DevX Product team to find the best mechanisms to articulate and share our portfolio of work broadly.
We strive to make our Portfolio team truly an outstanding place to work, with an unrivaled culture that prioritizes balance. While we are passionate and serious about creating value together through our work, we recognize that how we achieve our successes together is equally as meaningful. Above all, our organization prioritizes doing what is right for our customers, one another, and the broader company (and shareholders) that we serve. We look forward to your additions to this ever-evolving culture!
