Job SummaryAs an engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to directly propose, design and engineer completely new solutions from the ground up. Successful projects you work on can potentially be open sourced and patented with the help of Comcast’s patent team. Our team builds and delivers critical enterprise security applications that directly impact Comcast’s ability to secure both us and our customers data and resources. Our current suite of applications address, enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning, secure host access management, company-wide secure secret sharing, and much more.

Candidates should also be familiar with secure development best practices
Generally, requires 4+ years related experience
An idea candidate will have strong experience and expertise in one or more of the following languages/frameworks:
Languages – Ruby on Rails, React.js
2+ years of direct of experience with: AWS, Basic Networking, Linux, CICD best practices
Ability to breakdown and estimate high level technical requirements into smaller development tasks.
Experience with modern development tools: Git, JIRA, other version control and project management tools
Contribute to the building of front-end, back-end and scalable infrastructure.
Act as technical owner on at least 1 project, overseeing bug discovery, monitoring, code merges and deployment cadence.
Creates prototypes in a lean / agile manner to influence product direction.
Ensure software vulnerabilities are patched often.
Proactively collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
Mentor junior-level Software Development Engineers.
Researches, writes, and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
Willing and able to conduct presentations of application development plans, progress, and full functionality to team and external stakeholders.
Writes automated tests to reduce regressions.
Presents architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
