Job Summary

Responsible for developing, managing and executing special events as well as innovative employee engagement programs and activations to enhance the employee/campus experience. Leads the day-to-day management of the events team at the corporate campus. Collaborates across departments and groups to ensure the team is providing an outstanding campus experience. Builds strong relationships with peers to provide the necessary support needed to support all Campus Experience-lead events.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute special events across the Campus ensuring effective and high-touch execution.
  • Develop and execute new and innovative employee engagement events and programs to enhance the employee and campus experience.
  • Provide proactive event planning, experience and clear direction.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the events team.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing team on a consistent basis.
  • Demonstrate consistent superior leadership skills and lead the team by example, promoting collaboration at all times including during high-stress situations.
  • Provide effective management of the event planning function ensuring team members are paired appropriately with upcoming events/projects for successful outcomes.
  • Propose new and creative ideas to improve the event planning and execution process.
  • Understanding of contract management, budgeting and long-term planning.
  • Build strong relationships across the Campus Experience team and with key internal departments and groups.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in similar role.
  • Requires 10+ years of direct experience in event planning and management.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
  • Self-starter; self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Superb time management skills; ability to plan, organize and prioritize in a highly effective manner.
  • Customer service oriented – able to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Team player, effectively collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects and maintain good organization skills, composure and can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in leading, developing and mentoring teams.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • Exercise consistent independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Proficient at evaluating needs and delegating responsibilities.
  • Excellent project management, attention to detail and delegation skills.
  • Proficient at managing and executing high-profile and concurring events.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills must lead the lead by example.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on large-scale programs and projects with concurrent deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams) and event software.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends and variable schedule(s).
  • Position requires some travel.
